In mid-2025 TGOOD Australia completed the supply of a substation kiosk for Oakey Beef Exports in Oakey, Queensland. The project was delivered for contractor UDCS.
Equipment supplied
The package comprised a weatherproof substation kiosk housing:
- Distribution dry-type transformers (1,600 kVA and 4,000 kVA)
- 12 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) with enclosure
The kiosk provides a compact, self-contained solution housing both the MV switchgear and dry-type transformers within a single enclosure, ready for connection on arrival at site.
Dry-type transformers for industrial applications
Dry-type transformers are well suited to industrial facilities where safety, low maintenance and environmental considerations are priorities. Without the oil used in conventional distribution transformers, they eliminate the risk of fluid leaks and reduce fire risk—practical advantages in a food processing environment.
TGOOD’s distribution dry-type transformers are available from small distribution ratings up to several MVA, and can be supplied as standalone units or integrated into substation kiosks as part of a complete package.
