Exciting news from TGOOD South Africa and Aquilia Engineering

We were recently commissioned by Sol Plaatjie local municipality, in the Northern Cape province of South Africa, and BIGEN Consulting Engineers to supply two pre-fabricated ehouse substations with TGOOD 11kV metal-clad air insulated switchgear.

Our collaboration with Solve Engineering (Topshell) led to the design and manufacture of two ehouses, each measuring 6.7 metres long and 3.8 metres wide. Inside these ehouses, the TGOOD TAP17 air insulated switchgear has been expertly installed, featuring incomer panels, feeder panels, protection and battery tripping units, air conditioning, lighting, and provision for future expansion.

Notably, the switchgear is equipped with an internal arc venting system, ensuring the safety of operating personnel by venting any electrical arc faults to the outside of the ehouse.
