On Friday, October 28th, 2016, the Minister of Kuwait Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW), Eng. Ahmad Al Jassar, received TGOOD president and TGOOD Global’s Middle East team. Mr Al Jassar is 3rd from the left in the image above.
TGOOD Middle East has been working closely with Kuwait MEW on several pilot substation projects since a technical meeting was held about TGOOD’s ehouse solution on October 27th.
TGOOD president, Dr Siegfried Ruhland, Dr Eihad Sarabi, along with the TGOOD Middle East team, presented to the MEW about TGOOD’s history, capability and innovation. Our state-of-the-art technology in the prefabricated, modular and compact substation concept, or ehouse, was of great interest.
Dr Siegfried Ruhland presented our urban substation concept to the MEW of Kuwait. They shared with the TGOOD team their top challenges:
- Building substations fast enough
- Expansion due to higher load demands in densely populated areas
The TGOOD Global headquarters and Middle East team prepared a case study, taking a traditional 132/11 kV substation and converting it into TGOOD’s ehouse concept. We were able to convince the MEW that we can reduce space by 45%, time of delivery by 50% and savings in cost due to the elimination of the majority of civil works.
As a result, MEW has invited TGOOD Middle East to propose a solution for several pilot substations with TGOOD’s trademark ehouse.
