TGOOD Africa recently celebrated ten years of building great power solutions and fostering great relationships in South Africa.
‘The “T” in TGOOD stands for teamwork, trust and technology,’ said Helmut Rebstock, CEO of TGOOD Global during a speech at the event. ‘Teamwork is essential for a company like ours. Trust encourages teamwork and full control over technology gives us a competitive edge.’
TGOOD aims to foster a company culture where employees are energised to come to work ‘with a sparkle in their eyes’, as Rebstock put it. This, he believes, translates into better service for clients and customers.
TGOOD entered the South African market in 2014 and has since expanded its operations by 25%. It now employs 45 people and manages projects locally and across Africa. One of its notable recent successes is the Fleurhof substation completed in 2024.
TGOOD’s prefabrication concept is well-suited to South Africa’s energy transition, which requires innovative approaches. This applies particularly to renewable projects such as wind and solar farms that require rapid deployment in remote environments. Many of TGOOD’s current local projects are tied to solar independent power producers.
Our ten-year celebration was held in TGOOD South Africa’s state-of-the-art facility in Kempton Park, Gauteng. We enjoyed a walk around the factory floor with customers and friends, followed by a shared meal and speeches by TGOOD Global CEO Helmut Rebstock, TGOOD Africa CEO Kobus Coetzer and TGOOD Australia CEO Chris Ball. We loved having this opportunity to share our success with our team and those who help make the magic happen.
Over the next ten years TGOOD Africa plans to expand its operations in relevant locations and supply more equipment for renewable energy projects using the SF6-free environmentally friendly switchgear of Brunstock.
As always TGOOD will be delivering Energy, Fast!
